XMAS2K RELEASED

Holiday Fun for Palm OS!

CHICAGO, IL, October 2, 2000 - Red Mercury, LLC, a handheld game development company, today announced the release of Xmas2k for Palm OS™. This multi-function entertainment app includes a Christmas Countdown Clock, The Santa Menace game, Christmas carols, and a simulated blizzard.

Xmas2k may be downloaded free from the company’s website, http://www.red-mercury.com. The full version can be purchased for a budget $5 price.

"It's great to know exactly how many days are left until Christmas," said Scott Corley, President of Red Mercury™, obviously reading a prepared statement from his marketing department. "And you can play The Santa Menace game while waiting in those long checkout lines at the mall." Corley then thumbed the control of his jetpack and blasted into the sky.

All of Red Mercury’s titles fully support color and non-color devices, according to Corley. Red Mercury’s other Palm OS games, AcidFreecell and Atom Smash, are also available for free download from Red Mercury’s web site.

Snagging Eyeballs

Red Mercury's typical customer is constantly on the go, working long hours, and lacking any free time for television or traditional video games. Leisure time for this group is measured in 5 to 10 minute chunks.

Red Mercury is providing high quality entertainment for those little breaks. "These small delays during the day end up being the only free time some people get. It would be such a shame for that time to go to waste," said Corley in a statement read by his personal assistant. That same assistant was later seen leaving the scene by car, leading to speculation that Red Mercury may only have one jetpack.

As for what might be next from the hyper-productive Red Mercury, analysts believe a multiplayer wireless game is in the works. A select few were rumored to have seen the game at the recent PCIA trade show in Chicago. The game is expected to debut on Palm OS, and then make its way to a half billion mobile phones.
